Chess is an ancient game that offers many benefits, including improved problem-solving and critical thinking skills, focus, and enhanced concentration.

Gems Learning Institute also offers a structured chess program for kids. We have in-person classes in Oakville and also provides online chess classes. Our curriculum is designed to develop students’ chess skills systematically and logically. Our chess lessons and chess classes are divided into two halves. 1st half, the kids get a chess lesson from the teacher, and then in the second half, they play with each other under the teacher’s supervision in the chess club. The first game they use clocks and play under time control environemnt in the chess club. The do casual play for other games.

We offer chess classes and chess lessons to all ages and skill levels. Through the assessment, we determine the child’s skill level and then register them as per their skill level class. The kids who have zero knowledge of chess go to our beginner-level class. Our program has 14 levels, and we teach chess in a structured class-based environment with clear goals. Our chess lessons,  curriculum  and chess club allow us to teach kids from beginner to advanced level chess.

Before going to the next level, each child must write and pass a test to be promoted to the next level. After their chess level, students get awarded a certificate and move on to the next level with the next set of goals.

We also work with different schools and offer chess lessons, chess classes, and chess clubs in their after-school program or during the lunch hour. Our teachers visit the schools and conduct these classes. Check our Chess Canada blog.

Gems Learning Institute also offers other programs –  Squared Math program, Coding Program for Kids and also Robotics Program for kids. We offer in-person and online classess for each program.
