What to Expect From Chess Club

Our Mississauga chess club and Oakville chess clubs, held every Thursday at Loyola School Mississauga, are a welcoming space for kids of all ages and skill levels to come together and enjoy playing chess. Whether your child is a complete beginner just starting to learn the basics or an experienced player looking to sharpen their skills, our club offers a diverse range of opponents for everyone.

At the club, the focus is on playing chess in a fun, engaging, and competitive environment. It’s open to all children passionate about the game, regardless of their experience level! Your kid will have the opportunity to play against other kids, allowing them to put their skills to the test, learn new strategies, and enjoy the social aspects of the game.

Our club provides an excellent way for those newer to chess to get hands-on experience. Playing with various opponents helps beginners quickly grasp the game’s fundamentals, while more experienced players can challenge themselves by taking on more formidable competition. The club’s inclusive atmosphere ensures that every kid feels comfortable and encouraged to participate.

In addition to regular games, we also host tournaments within the club. These tournaments are a fantastic way for kids to experience the thrill of competition, build confidence, and celebrate their progress in a supportive team setting. Winning is fun, but the real goal is to enjoy the game and learn from each match.

What to Expect From Coding Club

At our Coding Club in Mississauga, kids can expect a dynamic, task-based environment where they engage with block-based programming to complete new challenges every week. With no formal instruction, children will independently explore and work on fun projects, including creating interactive animations, games, and stories. Each week brings a fresh coding task, allowing kids to apply critical concepts like loops, sequences, and conditionals, all while fostering creativity and problem-solving.

The coding club runs throughout the school year according to a set schedule, offering a consistent and structured opportunity for children to develop their skills. As tasks gradually increase in complexity, kids will build confidence, coding experience, and a sense of accomplishment with each completed project. The club encourages independent thinking, self-paced learning, and collaboration with peers, making it a supportive and engaging space for kids to explore the world of coding.

Thursday – 6:15 PM To 8:00 PM

Fees – $349 – Sale Price $299

Devices – Each Child will bring their device and be responsible for it.

The child needs to be able to read and understand the instructions.

GEMS Learning Institute is a great institute. The teachers here are hardworking, dedicated and qualified. They work hard to help children gain and improve in their mental skills. When going to GEMS Learning Institute, every child’s mental skills get stronger over the years. The founder, Mrs.Madiha, has done a great job in my 3 years at her center. She does chess, tutoring, robotics, and UCMAS. As a graduate of UCMAS from this center , I am proud to say that the teachers, founder and everyone else part of my journey has done an excellent job.
